Moon Days

Take Rest!

We’ve all heard the crazy stories that “coincidentally” happen to take place on the full moon, and maybe there is truth behind this correlation! The moon is a powerful entity that exerts an energetic force on the Earth, affecting the tides, gravity, and even light! During the full moon and new moon, these energies are either lessened or intensified. Being aware and mindful of these energetic imbalances, ashtanga practitioners will traditionally take the day off of asana practice, so on these days (listed below), there will not be Mysore practices. All other classes, including guided primary series, will continue. Either meditate, journal, enjoy a calming and introspective practice at home, or sleep in!
